Steam for Good is collaborating to provide innovative approaches to learning, to enable and create connected STEAM experiences in Ōtautahi-Christchurch and our region.

To achieve this, we have three initial areas of focus:

1. Pathways

Showcasing and building inspiring pathways for people on their educational journey.

  • This includes events and programmes that raise awareness, provide access and agency to learning and tools, and provide equal opportunities for everyone to take action.

  • We envision “flight paths” for people to follow their passions and interests.

2. Connection

Facilitating connection that is essential to support a learner’s journey through education. 

  • This includes relationships with, and between family/whanau, education, business and industry and the broader community. 

  • We envision a ‘snowballing’ Steam for Good network that consolidates, collaborates and builds strong lasting relationships.

3. Equipping Educators

Equipping educators with the knowledge, tools and resources to meet the demands of modern education and our rapidly changing world.

  • This includes access to innovative professional development that gives educators the confidence and resources to deliver their work and demonstrate their talent.

  • We envision teachers that are valued, well-equipped, leading new approaches and delivering real change.
